As a Private Practice Strategist, I tailor consulting services to meet the specific needs of your team and your business. I encourage leaders to view their organizations through a strategic lens, as their practices are an asset.
Over the past 25 years, I have owned, operated, and successfully sold two behavioral health group practices. I launched my first practice in 2001, offering both counseling and psychiatry services. At scale, the practice consistently delivered approximately 600–650 sessions per month. In April 2018, I sold the practice and relocated to Florida. In January 2019, I began the process of launching a second group counseling practice with a clear strategic objective: build, scale, and position the practice for acquisition. In under 3.5 years, the practice was successfully acquired. Both practices continue to thrive and expand their clinical service offerings today.
Connect, Learn, and Scale Your Practice
Partner with me. As a private practice strategist in healthcare consulting, I’ve spent years working alongside clinicians, group practice owners, and healthcare leaders who are deeply committed to quality care but often overwhelmed by the operational realities of running a modern mental health practice.
One thing has become clear: most private practices don’t struggle because of clinical skill. They struggle because they lack strategic infrastructure, operational clarity, and leadership support that aligns business growth with clinical integrity. I bridge clinical care and business strategy, helping healthcare practices design scalable operations, manage risk, and grow profitably without compromising quality or compliance. If you are ready to schedule your strategy session, please get in touch with me directly.
From Clinician to Private Practice Strategist
My foundation as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) informs every aspect of my work as a healthcare consultant. I bring firsthand fluency in clinical documentation standards, payer and audit expectations, regulatory and compliance risk, workforce constraints, and the operational realities that surface when mental health practices scale. This expertise was built through personally founding, scaling, and successfully exiting two mental health group practices, and further refined by leading clinical operations within telehealth organizations supporting networks ranging from 2,000 to more than 30,000 providers.
As a healthcare consultant serving private practices, I work with leaders who value precision. Leaders who are seeking clarity, disciplined execution, and growth strategies grounded in the realities of modern healthcare operations.
Clients hire me because I bring:
- Direct clinical and operational experience
- A systems-level view of practice growth
- A strategic approach grounded in healthcare realities
- Clear guidance that leadership teams can execute
Why Strategy Matters in Private Practice
One of the biggest misconceptions in private practice growth is that success comes from doing more sessions and increasing staffing. In reality, sustainable growth comes from intentional strategy and strong operational foundations.
Practices seek out business consultants for various reasons. They may be clinically strong but operationally fragile, financially viable but structurally misaligned, growing quickly without the systems to support scale. My role is to help leaders step out of reactive mode and into strategic decision-making. That means identifying bottlenecks, proactively addressing risk, and aligning operations with long-term goals.
Healthcare Consulting Meets Clinical Reality
Effective healthcare consulting for mental health practices must account for compliance, ethical care delivery, clinician sustainability, and not just revenue.
My consulting approach emphasizes:
- Clinical documentation and compliance readiness
- Risk management and quality assurance
- Sustainable provider workloads
- Leadership development for clinicians stepping into management
- Ethical and responsible growth strategies
My Private Practice Strategy Clients Include
- Group practice owners preparing to scale or stabilize
- Clinicians transitioning into leadership or ownership roles
- Mental health organizations that need operational clarity
- Founders seeking sustainable growth on large telehealth platforms
If you want a strategic partner who understands healthcare from the inside out, that’s where my experience adds the most value.
Why Practices Hire Me
Clients hire me as a private practice strategist and healthcare consultant because I help to:
- Identify blind spots before they become costly problems
- Make confident, data-informed decisions
- Build operational systems that support clinical quality
- Shift from constant firefighting to strategic leadership
Building Practices That Last
