Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) or Disaster Response are interventions that are normally conducted on-site at a workplace after an incident occurs that has directly impacted employees. Some examples: robbery, loss of a co-worker, injury or accident in the workplace, workplace shooting, or terroristic threats, or other acts.
The purpose of this proven intervention is to decrease the impact that the traumatic incident would have on your employees. The on-site counselor(s) are available to conduct individual and group counseling sessions. A quiet meeting area will be necessary for the counselor(s) to conduct the sessions. Employees need to be given time where they can freely meet with the counselor and participate in the counseling. We can also set up a contract with your employer group so that your counselors have some additional sessions available to them if necessary.
How do I schedule for a counselor to come on-site to our business?
