Individual Counseling Services
Counseling services are available for children, adolescents, and adults. Counseling is a process where a client will meet one-on-one with a licensed professional in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. The counseling sessions will help you begin to explore your feelings, experiences, beliefs, stressors, and memories. As the client, you will identify what specific goals you would like to focus on in your counseling sessions. Clients will seek therapy for a variety of reasons with the hope of feeling better overall. Common reasons include: depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, parent coordination, coparenting, family mediation, and work-related stressors. Family Counseling
Family counseling services involve discussion and problem-solving sessions with family members. The focus of family therapy is to help improve the overall functioning of your family system. Depending on the goals that you have identified, the counselor may work with the entire family at the same time or they may see family members at different times. In family therapy, the web of interpersonal relationships will be examined and communication is strengthened within the family system. Family therapy sessions work to develop cohesion by assisting one another in developing insight, communication, problem-solving, and coping skills to use in their family system.
Couples, Marital, and Relationship Counseling
Couples, marital, and relationship counseling services are available for both married and unmarried couples. Couples may benefit from relationship counseling to address: communication problems, sexual difficulties, conflicts about child rearing or blended families, substance abuse, anger or infidelity, arguments, lack of affections, and emotional distance. Our counselor will help you to improve and strengthen your relationship. Some couples will seek counseling services to work through decisions and transitions in life, ex. strengthening their relationship or deciding that the relationship is not going to sustain. Other couples seek marriage counseling to strengthen their partnership and gain a better understanding of each other. Premarital counseling is also available for couples so they can achieve a deeper understanding of each other and discuss any differences prior to marrying.
